Upcoming Frank Gehry piece in England

I'm a huge fan of Frank Gehry. Then again, most people are. But this model of the Serpentine Gallery Pavillion I feel is a definite evolution of his style. Usually he's curvy, flowing and full of form. This one seems like a collapse suspended in time forever. And as usual, light patterns from the structure will probably be amazing.

I found these images off of dezeen. Great site.

David Navas

I came across this piece on Gawker's artists site. Subtle and vicious.

Nokia's vision for the future using nanotechnology

Pics of Snake Eyes from GI Joe

Now I don't really think a GI Joe movie is going to be anything where you stand in line on opening day for but, these shots for the Snake Eyes are pretty awesome! I know all the dudes can remember how much that Snake Eyes action figure meant to them. Or am I the only nerd here.... probably.

Amazing Star Wars Promotional Items

These were supposedly promotional items that were rejected for production. Shame. I'd love to watch some TV nestled in Jabba's fatty rolls

Quadruped robot

I saw this video of this quadruped robot a while ago and have never been able to find it since. I've finally tracked it down and I can't stop watching it. If you guys don't know, I'm a freeeeaaakkkk for robots. Who isn't?! My favorite part is when the guy tries to kick it down.

Perfect!

I love small space living. I love the creativity involved with small space living. I found this today on Gizmodo and I just think its the coolest thing ever. Personally, I wouldn't work underneath it. Kind of freaks me out.

Anthony Lister

I think that he's showing in SF in July. Definitely marked on my calender way ahead of time.

Fincher & Jonze & Tarsem

I think the movie "The Cell" could have been so much more but nevertheless, Tarsem did a banging job on the visuals and art direction. He has a new one coming out which seems to have Dave Fincher and Spike Jonze backing it up. Anyone know if Googly Productions is their company? I look forward to this.

It would be a cool project.

I had this idea with conductors and revolving doors. I've seen similar ideas but its all been too high tech. Well anyways, conductors could be put on top of revolving doors to generate electricity. In places like airports, bus terminals, shopping malls, etc. I'd imagine it would help out a bit. Hell, it could even help businesses drive people into their stores, think about it.

I think it would be cool if you could make the conductor throw energy to power generators which then can be shipped to other countries to provide electricity for light, appliances, communication devices, etc. But then, now that I think about it, does that outweigh the jet fuel and smog generated from hauling the generators to these countries? Either way, could be a cool idea.

Goodness

Durkl Shades

I got these a little while ago but I'm just getting around to posting some pics of them. Pretty stupid but I just couldn't stop myself from buying it. Reminds me of those slap on bracelets we all had in the 80's.
